                                         REPORTS ON INDIVIDUAL CASES

During the period covered in this Annual Report, the Commission held its 84th and 85th sessions, at which a number of petitions were received concerning alleged violations of human rights recognized in the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man and the American Convention on Human Rights.  The Commission opened 107 individual cases between March 9, 1993 and January 12, 1994.  This brings the total number of individual cases being processed at the present time to 635.

The Commission herewith presents its reports on individual cases to the General Assembly of the Organization for the period covered by this report.

Accordingly, the reports transcribed below, which concern both the admissibility of the cases and the rulings on the merits of the case, appear in the year in which they were approved by the Commission, following the alphabetic order of the country to which they refer.
